ABOUT THE AREA: Prominence is a charming coastal community nestled between Seagrove Beach and Alys Beach and just 20 minutes to Pier Park. The community features incredible amenities, open green spaces and easy access to over 17 miles of bike paths. Residents will enjoy easy access to a beautiful town center, 5,000 square foot resort style pool and fitness center. In the heart of Prominence is The Big Chill (formerly the Hub), a family hot spot for dining, shopping and entertainment, featuring an outdoor 25 ft LED theater screen which streams major sporting events, movies under the stars as well as features live music on their very own stage.
BEACH ACCESS: Deer Lake State Park: This state park is roughly 1/2 mile from Prominence. There is an entry fee of $3 per vehicle (2 to 8 passengers) or $2 per pedestrian, bicyclist, and extra passengers. There is a long scenic boardwalk that brings you from the parking lot to the beach and is a five-to-ten minute walk. Beach service is not provided here. Walton Dunes: located 2.5 miles from the Prominence area, Walton Dunes is an easily accessible beach entrance! Unlike Deer Lake, there are no stairs/ramps and you can walk right up to the beach. You take a left at Lakewood Drive and follow the curve until you see the parking lot for cars/golf carts. Beach service is the only amenity provided. Santa Clara: located 3.5 miles away and is ADA accessible, has parking, restrooms, and lifeguards during peak season. Located on Scenic 30A, 1/2 mile east of Scenic 395, turn south on Bramble Grove Place.
