Most of the trip at Drift & Dwell 30A happens on the roof. The private terrace up top has a dining table, lounge seating, and a view of the Gulf through the treetops, and it works from the first coffee of the morning to the last hand of cards at night. When the sky starts to turn at sunset, the whole group tends to find its way up there without anyone having to suggest it.
The townhome sits in Santa Rosa Beach, close to the white sand along 30A and the restaurants and shops around Gulf Place. On the main floor, the living room, dining area, and kitchen run together in one bright, open space with soft coastal styling and plenty of natural light. The kitchen is well stocked, with stainless appliances, lots of cabinet space, and seats at the island for whoever wants to talk to the cook. Breakfast before the beach and dinner after it are both easy to handle at home.
Each of the four bedrooms has its own ensuite bathroom, which makes the house a comfortable fit for two families, a group of friends, or a few couples traveling together. Nobody shares a bath or waits their turn in the hallway. At roughly 2,450 square feet spread over several levels, there's more space here than in most 30A townhomes, so people can be together in the evening and still find a quiet spot the next morning.
A lower deck with a grill takes care of cookouts, and guests have access to the community pool for a swim between beach trips. After dinner, things usually drift back up to the roof.
This part of 30A is easy to explore on two wheels. The Timpoochee Trail follows the coast toward Blue Mountain Beach, Grayton Beach, and Seaside, and Grayton Beach State Park and Topsail Hill Preserve State Park are nearby for dune trails and quieter stretches of sand. Seaside and Rosemary Beach are good for an afternoon of shopping and walking around town. Then it's back to the house, up the stairs, and out onto the roof for sunset.
